Who would have thought an AmazonBasics Microwave would be an Alexa integrated device?? Offering as usual Amazon’s competitive pricing on their Basics line of products the AmazonBasics microwave offer something very unique.? On the front of the usual control panel for the microwave, there is an Ask Alexa button.
Pressing this button will initiate a connection to your Echo (saving you the task of invoking Alexa).? You can then ask Alexa to microwave for a certain number of minutes or use her to pull up a number of (expanding) presets for heating up your popcorn, cooking your food, reheating your coffee, etc.? The microwave will then start and you will end up with a perfectly heated meal or the real bonus, no burned popcorn!
The AmazonBasics microwave offers 10 power levels, defrost options by time and weight as well as a trusty Popcorn button!? You can set a timer from the panel if you’re old school vs setting an Alexa timer.
If you are needing a new microwave this is a good all-round option with the added bonus of having Alexa integration.? The number of presets added to the microwave will probably be the test of how useful this voice-controlled kitchen gadget will be in the long run.? I wonder what is next for Amazon’s connected kitchen concepts.
The Echo Wall Clock is one interesting option to keep an eye on but that as of this date is awaiting approvals.
Now it's easier to defrost peas, make popcorn, cook potatoes, and reheat rice. Quick-cook voice presets and a simplified keypad let you just ask Alexa to start microwaving.
Auto Popcorn Replenishment can automatically reorder popcorn when you run low, enabled by Amazon Dash Replenishment technology.
Compact size saves counter space, plus 10 power levels, a kitchen timer, a child lock, and a turntable.
